It's My Party

So I turned 29 today and I am having such a great day already! Beau surprised me with the new I-Phone (yes, I am joining the 21st century) and I will finally have video capabilities!!!! Then Hope surprised me with her first tooth! I am so excited! (My nipples arent so sure though). We are having a celebration at work (though not totally on my behalf) for the 4th and all the June Bdays, so i am looking forward to the eating extravaganza that is about to occur and we are going to TX for some much needed lake time tomorrow afternoon! Sorry for all of the exclaimation marks (Cary), but they are only to emphasize how happy I am today!

Happy Anniversary

Beau and I have now been married for 3 years. I feel like we have been together for 10; which is not to say these 3 years havent been enjoyable, but more to emphasize how much we have been through together. A house, two babies, three properties, several new jobs, and Im sure there is more that I am forgetting. We are both strong willed and opinionated, but each day I feel like Beau and I gain a better understanding of eachother. I am excited about our future together and I love him so much. Beau never wavers in his feeling for me and our family; he never has doubts about our future together, and he always reminds me that our commitment to eachother is forever in his mind, which is one of the most comforting things I have ever felt in my life.

So, I know everyone is impressed with their children, but these two are exceptional. ;)
Al cannot say the alphabet all together (well, except for A and B, but I suppose we cant count that), but he is amazing at identifying the letters. He knows almost all of them... well maybe half, but I am so astounded. Everyday is language is getting better and he is becoming a little man. Today his sandal broke and when I picked him up it was the first thing he told me. Apparently he was distraught about it all day, so I promisedhim we would get some new ones. So when we got home, of course he told Dad right away and then said, mommy "get new ones". haha. To me he is just perfect.

This little missy, is perfect too. Beau and I just died laughing the other night as we lay on the couch imagining how cute Hope would be in a bikini. So today we tried it out. We did actually go to City Garden and get in the water, so it wasnt totally for not.Hope can roll both ways and turn herself in a circle on the floor. I cant believe she is so big already. It makes me want another baby. ( Did I just write that?)

My Wish List

(in case anyone is interested in purchasing these for me)

1. Nikon camera (the big one)
2. Portrait Lens for camera (i mean this is a wish list, right?)
3. Dyson vacuum
4. New rugs for the living room and the kids room( i like to change things up every couple years (there is a really great one at Crate)
5. The Seabury or Tyler sofa from Pottery Barn
6. I Pad
7. I phone and some else to pay for the service (ha ha)
8. More clothes that fit
9. A vacation to Antigua for a week (with Beau and no kids)

Recipes Al and I made this weekend

Al is always asking me to cook something... I mean literally every meal. And he gets so excited when we do, so I indulged him this weekend.
We made:

• Whole Wheat Zucchini muffins (saturday morning)
• Walnut Coffee Crumb muffins (sunday morning)
• Cheese tortellini "lini" with a walnut basil pesto and summer squash (he loved the pesto but picked out all the squash and gave it to me to eat)... this was lunch
• Chocolate chip cookies... he took a nap half way through, but enjoyed the end product

This may not sound like a lot, but cooking with a nearly 2 yr old can be a process ;)

Oh, and Hope observed most of these meals... I even let her taste the zucchini muffin (as much as that was possible with her tongue thrusting everything back out)

Letting Go

I say this for several reasons... second babies are going to watch TV

And both babies are going to grow up...

And I cannot go crazy in the process. ;) Life is too short and these are the cutest moments.
