Albert is growing up so fast. It amazes me everyday that he is able to form his own thoughts and feelings. Each time it happens I look at him and wonder where it came from. At night when I get home he gets out of bed and runs to give me a hug. Then I lay in bed and sing to him and often he looks over at me and says "mommy, I love you" -- it makes me so happy I want to cry.
Hope is such a ham these days. She will smile at almost anyone even at any time... Here she has learned to navigate around our loft in an upright position without actually walking on her own:)
The phrase "I want to do it all by myself" is ringing in my ears after spending ANY length of time with my son these days. And man is he determined to have it his way. I can't do anything for him... He opens all the doors, climbs into his carseat and buckles all but the bottom latch, gets in and out of the bath, picks out any plate or utensil he uses, empties the dishwasher, picks out and puts on all clothing -socks-and shoes, reads his own books (well, reads is a stretch)... You get the picture. This sounds wonderful except he is not ABLE to do all of these things by himself!! Which makes for a very frustrated child and exhausted mother :). I do think it is wonderful to watch him try, but Al- know when to hold 'em/know when to fold 'em.
I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family... He we are in the storage unit protecting them from the barrage of tornado weather that came through at midnight! Hope slept through it all.
I worked over 50 hours on M-R so I got off early on Friday and took the babies to Monkey Joes, which they both love. Hope is not quite walking, but she wants to do everything Al does so badly.
I just love when they are being sweet to each other. I know they will have their disagreements, but my hope is that they will always love and protect each other. Al really likes to go to Trader Joes with me-- it's all about the stickers.
Hopie was "wired" tonight when we put her to bed. In addition to all of this fun Beau too Al to Rolla MO for the Borgia semi-final basketball game on Saturday and he had a great time (they got ice cream and stopped to see grandpa too!). Can't wait for the upcoming week!
