Last weekend I got a 4 day mother/daughter trip to New York with my in-laws and friends which was a blast! We had such a relaxing time walking the city, shopping, eating, drinking- you name it, we did it.
Including mass at St.Patricks Cathedral- front row seating- and private lunch with the Arch Bishop... Oh yeah.
We get along so well that we are already planning our next trip. Napa Valley, here we come!
I have been looking for a running partner since January-- due to the scheduling fiasco that two children creates, it has been very difficult. So, when Cary mentioned that she was going to start running, I was not going to take no for an answer--- and Cary is too nice to say no to me so of course she said yes! Go team Railway!!
It was BEAUTIFUL today- I am reminded of why we chose to live downtown. I really just love our space and I love our neighbors and I love that we can walk everywhere we want to go. The Arch is our playground...
And kite flying was a hit with the whole crew...
I asked Al what he wanted to be when he grows up (I was thinking doctor, lawyer- you know, the standard options) but he said "I just want to fly kites".
Hopies first City Garden fountain experience...
Cary and I finished the day with girls night margaritas at Rosalitas. Perfect city ending to a perfect city day.
Hopie and I had girls morning with Rose and Kara. Hope is still on the fence about walking and Rose is an expert, so Rose thought it would be a good idea for Hope to practice the way she learned...Rose is coaching from the cab...
I just love his feisty little personality. He decided to take a break from our soccer game and thought the "hands" in our alley was the perfect spot. I really think he also thought it would be funny for him to sit there- always looking to add a bit of comedy to every situation.
