28 Weeks

So this weekend was so much fun. Jason said he had an inkling that something was going to happen, but it was still a fun party on Saturday... with 16 babies and 2 pregnant ladies no less. (crazy!) It was great to see Elaine and Phil and Abby, Donna, Ashley and Trenten! Trent is the sweetest baby, so friendly and happy!
We got such great stuff at our shower too... thanks everyone!

Worries Relieved

I went for my 27 week check up today and I have actually gained 2lbs in 5 weeks which is a little more than I thought. I am glad for this. My Dr. said she would do a sono in 3 weeks just to make sure that Al is growing on schedule. She also said that because I was only 6lb2oz at full term birth, that I may just be having a small baby due to genetics.... Beau later said.."Well, did you tell her that was unacceptable!" haha.
I told Christina that we are both going to have these huge husbands and tiny little babies! haha

Elaine and Phil get in today from Wisconsin and Abby, Donna, Ashley and Trenten get in from Iowa tomorrow. I am sooooo excited to see everyone. It has been too long. We are having an event that I cant discuss right now on Saturday and then a BBQ, swim party/baby shower on Sunday. So, in relation to this story, I will tell you another one. Last night I got an itch to buy our crib mattress (since Beau put the crib together on Tuesday) and after talking to a friend I decided against the Organinc mattress on our registry and for a foam mattress becasue they are lighter. So... I bought the foam mattress online and then went to the registry to delete the other one. While I was there I went to look and see if Dad and Carlene had purchased the stroller yet and as I am scrolling down to the bottom where it tells you what has been bought I sawa sign tat said "14 items have been bought".. I kept scrolling all the while thinking 14 items!? that muct be a mistake... uh, crap! scroll up FAST. I forgot we were having a shower on Sunday! and I almost saw the items... but thankfully I didnt. whew. but now it is tempting me!

Leah is getting an academic award today... we dont know what it is yet, the school just called my parents and told them they needed to be there. So congrats sister! (she takes after me, so smart.. some call me Britannica);)

Have a great Memorial Weekend!

Thinking to much about a title...

So. Beau and I were finally in the same place for a weekend which was great. We went out to the farm on Saturday and helped Linda mulch and then I made dinner for her since it was Mother's Day. It was nice and relaxing and I love to cook so it was great fun. I dont know how I feel about people telling me Happy Mother's Day... I mean technically (no offense..I love you baby Al) but I am not yet a Mother. I am also kind of a superstisious (sp?) person so I dont feel like I should oblige the Happy Mother's Day's I have been getting. But I do of course, to be nice and agreeable.. I know, so not like me but I try. In conclusion, I will feel much more like a mother when I am holding this baby in my arms.
I cant wait to go to the doctor. I go next Friday, which seems like an eternity. I have not gained any weight in 3 weeks and I am starting to get worried. Although today my appetite started to pick up so I am hopeful. Its not like I want to pack on the pounds, but I do want to make sure this little guy is getting what he needs. I mean I dont know if I can eat anymore food than I am right now...crazy how I never thought I would feel this way. I suppose when you tell your self youcan have whatever you want, then you no longer want it! In the mean time, I am stopping worrying about it. :) Its not really worry, I am just anxious for my doc to tell me everything is fine and I dont have to stuff myself with food even if I am not hungry!
At work, the garden is coming along. So cool to see all the veggies grow! We have lettuce, chard, mustard greens, herbs, carrots and strawberries peaking through. The kids love it! I hope someday Albert will have this experience. My ideal school for him: PE everyday, and a normal recess, an onsite garden for the kids to see our food from dirt to table, and family style dining at school.... ok that is the MPH in me.

Life is Crazy!

It has been a while since I have written... never enough time! I know we are all busy but man I feel like I am losing my mind. haha.
I was in DC for 6 days and it was such a great time. The conference was really fun and informative and then I got to hang out with Ashlee on Saturday. We went to look at engagement rings which was exciting... I love her boyfriend and they are perfect for eachother. Now we have to wait for him to pop the question.... tick tock... come on JEFF!!

So all of that was fun, but I didnt get in until late on Sunday and then work was crazy busy all week and I had a tupperware party on Wednesday at my house... which by the way I am soooo thrilled about bc tupperware brings back memories of my childhood (oh, sippy cups and bowls!)

Beau and I finally got a night together on Thursday which was wonerful and then I flew to TX on Friday morning at 6 am! So I am looking forward to relaxing next week with not much to do on Mothers Day weekend except hang out ot the Reinberg farm. It has been so great to see my mom and family. I went out to my granny's house for her birthday and we took family pics with my dads side of the fam.(beau missed out.. sad) but we will see them all again on the 4th of July.

I will post weekend pics when I get back... until then. Enjoy the rest of the weekend all!
