Kansas City

It was our anniversary this past Sunday and I cant believe it has been a year. We went to KC to see Allie and so I could go to her baby shower before she pops! She is 37 weeks now and ready to have that baby.. and I cant wait to find out what it will be. I previously thought it would be a boy, but now due to the mystery arrow on a leg ultrasound I tend to believe it will be a girl!

Beau graciously went to KC with me so that we would be together on our first anniversary, eventhough he is totally swamped at work and I know he is so so busy right now. The weekend was, however, very relaxing for the both of us. We just layed around by the pool on Saturday afternoon and then went to a nice dinner on the Plaza that night, just the two of us. Beau went to the Royals game with Andy and Dustin while I went to the shower, so all worked out well. When we got home we defrosted out cake and re-inacted the first bite... which, was surprisingly still amaizing cake!!! This is the most unbelievable bakery EVER! If you live in STL you should always get cakes from the Cakery!

Here are some photos of the weekend. Have a great week!

NYC

The last 2 weeks...

Its been a while. I had an US of the baby last wednesday to make sure that he is growing properly as my stomach is measuring about a week small... and yes, he is fine. More than fine. They say he is in the 80th percentile, up from the 50th at 19 weeks, which Beau is more than ecstatic about. In fact, he informed me last night is that his goal is for baby Al to be 10lb, 1 oz... ooookkk.

We went to NYC last weekend for Grandma and Grampi's 60th wedding anniversary. It was so good to see the family and we had a great time and some great food. Beau and I took the Subway up to Yankee Stadium on Saturday to see it before they tear it down. It was rather uneventful as their was no game and hardly anyone around. We did get baby Al an All Start Game tshirt since they are playing it at Yankee this year. I attached some pics of us at the new stadium and standing on the top of my grandparents condo building.

We also got to hang out with Chris and Cassie which is always fun and entertaining. My mom and I had actually met Cassie for lunch the day before down in SoHo where she works. That was a little more interesting bc there was much more "girl talk" going on than on Saturday. Oh and trying to shop for clothes in NYC when you are pregnant is sad and depressing.

So, now we are back in the Lou and I got some great news yesterday... Cuevas is pregnant! Wow, kind of shocking news, but I am so happy for her and Tyson and so excited that a close friend is having a baby too! Cant wait to see the attitude that baby will have... hopefully it will get a little of Tysons mild mannered influence. haha

Beau and I are off to KC this weekend to see Allie and Andy in their last few days of "just the two of us time". Allie got the news yesterday that the baby is feet first, which means she will most likely be having a c-section. A little bit of a bummer, but I know she will get through it just fine and the baby is healthy. Her shower is this weekend so she will be ferociously washing things and getting the room ready next week as she is 37 week already! I cant wait to find out what it is... I got dibs on a boy. Al needs a little friend. :)

The Fun Begins

Up until this week it has been pretty much smooth sailing, and I really cant complain too much now, but man I could barely walk on Tuesday. I felt like my stomach was just going to fall out. I had horrible shooting back pains and left side pains. (It felt like I pulled a muscle). So 36 hours later I felt so much better. Now I just have low back aches by the end of the day.. I love hot pads!! And, my left side is still a little sore. Im sure it will get worse... but I will try to hope for better. haha.
This weekend is DMB!! Whohoo! I am so excited. The concert is in Busch Stadium and it is going to be a blast. (I will say it will be a new experience as every other DMB concert I have ever been too I was "under the influence"... Al and I are going to love it). My sister Kristi is also in town. We are on our way to lay out by the pool and then get pedicures. Its a hard knock life for us!

Have a great weekend all!
