Too Busy

Cant talk long bc I am swamped this week at work, but I need to note some things that AL is doing this week that I think are too cute. He has started to say "mmm" after every bite he takes... in fact, last night he pinched a blueberry between his fingers and acted like he was going to feed it to Beau and then put it in his mouth and said "mmmm". What a tease!
He is alse taking about 2 steps on his own, but still prefers crawling. However, he loves his little cart that he can walk behind and motors all over the house.
He also loves waking up in the morning and laying in bed with dad to take his bottle while mommy showers... bonding time for about 7 minutes and then he is off and running. Still not much of a cuddler, but oh well.
k.. gotta go!

Just a few more pictures for posterity

All the Reinbergs in Wisconsin... yes, Beau's beady little eyes are pearing through in the back.

Al and Nana driving the boat. Al insisted he learn early

Beau doing what Beau does best on vacation (or any time really)

This is Shelly and Koen... the ones mentioned previousy (her husband Luke was there too, just thought I'd mention that. Dont want anyone to get hurt feelings)

And, I had to post this one bc I never have picures with my child since I am he one who is always taking them...

So much to say, where do I start

We have been on a whirl wind tour of the family tree this past week. We started out in WI for a Reinberg family reunion which was so fun for Beau and I, but a little overwhelming for Al. I have never seen the kid sleep so much, we're talking every other hour he wanted to take a 2 hour nap. I think every child at the reunion wanted to play with and hold Al and he was a little tired of it to say the least! But, I love Beau's family and I feel like I have been a Reinberg my whole life. I think I could live up in WI and hang out with his family all the time... they are awesome! ( I mean I love you too Friedman and Marak families and I would miss you all of course)
So after WI Al and I headed to TX to see mom, lee and leah for a couple days and then it was off to the lake to see nana and papa. Al had so much fun outdoors it made Beau and I feel bad for living in a loft. I mean, every time we came inside Al would crawl back to the door and beg to go back out! He has really taken on a whole new personality in the past couple weeks too, temper-tantrums and all. I think the tantrums are hilarious personally, but I am a little scared for the future seeing as though he is already throwing himself on the floor in full kick and scream mode when he doesnt get his way and he isnt even one yet!
There are so many things to do at the lake... kayaking, paddle boating, Seadooing, boating, tubing, swinging, playing in the sand box, driving a Little Tykes car, feeding the ducks, eating bugs and getting really dirty... all of which Al enjoyed.
Nana bought this baby Seadoo for Al last year and has been waiting anxiously for him to ride it... not quite ready to go out on his own just yet This is how Al rides the big Seadoo... no fear (except on mom's part)

This is Koen,my best friend Shelly's little boy who is 20 months. They came to the lake on Friday and stayed the night... we had so much fun!
So, in conclusion... all who are willing are welcome to join in our lake fun each summer, just get a plane ticket or hop in your car and we'll take it from there!

I mean...

How cute is this kid...

Oh and his new favorite thing is to walk while holding your hands...and he stood up and took his first purposeful steps tonight right in front of Beau and me. (about three). Still pretty unstable though, so we will see.

And we were there too...

I wanted to add some other pictures from the day... Oddly enough, Al loves lemons... here is proof
This is the wading pool and water fall that they have there... its like a water park in the middle of the city. (now we have a beach at Wave and a water park at Market! what more could you ask for?)

These were my favorite. There was a little boy sitting at the very top of one of these when we got there... so scary.

Al thought this face was a little creepy...

Sculpture Park-Downtown StL

We had so much fun today at the new Sculpture Park downtown. If you are from StL, you have to go! Not only are there large scale figurines to climb, but there are 3 different water areas to play in. Al's favorite was the 200 spout dancing fountain. I must say everyone watching couldnt believe what a good time he was having crawling around in there... yes, he was the cutest boy at the park ( no bias or anything).

Little Climber

It is the Friday before the 4th and I am off work!! Al is in the process of taking a nap going on 2 hours! I made bluberry pancakes this morning and Al and I went to get a Mocha. When he wakes up we are going to Target and Babies R US to get him some new toys and buy a storage bin for all his "baby" toys. He just seems a little bored with the ones he has right now. We are also planning on going to the new sculpture/water park this afternoon if Al doesnt sleep this beautiful day away!
Here is a video I took of Al last week showing off his new found climbing skills...

I also took a few cute pictures demonstrating his ability to open cabinets and remove all items in the cabinet. Awesome. At one point his feet were off the ground and he was head first in the drawer.

This is Daddy getting some snuggle time in with the baby. A rare moment for sure!
