God's Plan

Not everyone believes in God, I know. But I am not sure how I would make it through the day if I didn't. I have such comfort in knowing that every experience in my life happens for a reason-- good and bad.
Last night Beau and I were laying in bed and I said to him- i'm not sure if I want to risk having another child, we have been so lucky to have two healthy babies. And without hesitating he said- it's not luck honey.
He is right.

Couples Vacation

Beau and I went on our first "kidless" vacation since our honeymoon. We went to Breckenridge CO with two other couples, skied two days, and stayed in an awesome house/condo.

What is funny is that we ended up in bed by 10pm every night, despite valiant efforts to get in party mode. I blame the altitude, but reality tells me I am just getting old. Though the good news is that we feel extremely well rested and are really looking forward to seeing the babies!
I did get to talk to Al every day, but obviously Hope is not quite to the phone conversation stage.
In conclusion...vacation was fabulous and much needed!

Girls Day

This was a hallmark family weekend for Beau and I. We spent time together the two of us with friends on Friday night, followed by Mexican night with the babies on Saturday-- then we ALL went promptly to bed at 8:30pm! With all that sleep we actually got up, ready and out the door for church at 8am!! (we were even 10 min early) After church we went to Rooster for brunch and both sister and brother were amazing. Al sat at the table the ENTIRE time and Hope didn't cry once, despite the fact that it was her nap time. It was a dream morning... Makes me so happy.
Then Hopie and I went to Abby's house for girls day followed by dinner with my college girlfriends. Here she is sitting on Eepies lap dancing to Beyonce on Pandora.

She is so sweet and chill... It is relaxing to be around such an adorable child. I know I am biased but she is wonderful and makes me smile. She and I dont always get to spend the afternoon together, so it was really nice. She is babbling all the time, almost standing on her own, cant sleep without her loveie and her thumb-- those go every where with us, loves to wrestle her brother, and is finally sleeping through the night!!! Woo hoo, after 13 mo... Ha!
Al got to go to daddy's basketball game and had a blast running with the older boys. He is now potty trained and finally poops on the potty. He is so great at it and it is no thanks to me... All on his own and already wakes up dry from naps and in the morning. I am ecstatic. Here is his chart we used for potty training...

We finished the night a little later than usual, so Hopie was crying in her bed and we heard Al say.. "It's okay Hope... Stop crying!"

They are too cute right now..

Snow Day

Winnie and rush joined us for "movie morning" at the Reinberg house. We ate popcorn and animal crackers and watched Ice Age- Dawn of the Dinosaurs, which Al loved bc he likes Anything dinosaur!

Rush and Hopie are becoming fast friends... Or at least Hope thinks so. She tried to kiss him a couple of times and he wasn't that into it. (You can't win them all Hope)

After movie morning Al and Hope spent the rest of the day in their pajamas lounging around. Here they are playing on AL's trundle bed grandma has been sleeping on since the blizzard hit. It has been great fun having her stay with us!

I have also caught up on some movies: Babies-- I wasn't too impressed with- lots of boobs and pooping. I see that enough around here.
Inception-- this was awesome! Am I dreaming this blog post??
